Fiji Scuba Diving Regions > 1.Yasawas
The Yasawa Group is undoubtedly the most appealing of the Fiji Islands for beach lovers and water enthusiasts. The stunning chain of islands extends from the Mamanuca Group. Snorkelling is fantastic and scuba diving is good, more so for marine life than for the soft corals.

Closest to international airport Quickly accessible by aircraft or ferry. Variety of hotels and resorts for all budgets. Barrier reef surrounds giant protected and shallow lagoon. Beautiful beaches and sunny, dry weather. Excellent facilities for beginners and learners. Experienced divers can dive the ocean side of the barrier reef and passages through it
Fiji Scuba Diving Regions > 3.Nadi
Nadi, including Denarau Island, is the gateway to Fiji and sits on the western side of Viti Levu. It has a population of more than 10,000 and because of its proximity to the international airport, it essentially caters for tourists. Facilities include accommodation of all kinds, restaurants, nightlife, duty free shopping, sightseeing tours and inter-island cruises.

The Coral Coast begins 15 kilometers south of Nadi town. Various dive sites include vertical walls festooned with soft corals and gorgonia fans and fish life on the outside of the main reef and in the passages. The area has earned a justifiable reputation as one of the worlds top dive destinations Spectacular stretch of coastline either side of Sigatoka and down to Pacific Harbour top resorts and hotels plus several budget options.

Specialist dive operators on Beqa and Vatulele servicing the magnificent Beqa lagoon and surrounding reefs Diving on reef bommies and in passages. Beqa is home to firewalking tradition.

Fiji's 4th largest island just 45 mins by air from Nadi or 30 mins from Suva. Ringed by world renown Namalata, Rooper, Astrolabe & King Kong reefs. Fast flowing passages & spectacular walls provide common pelagic & manta encounters. Vibrant bommies with lush soft coral growth, lionfish, nudibranchs & magnificent anemones. Endless swimthroughs home to giant gorgonian fans, sea whips and colourful sponges. The wreck of the "Pacific Voyager" with it's abundance of resident critters. Suva can lay certain claim to being the largest and perhaps the most liveable city in the South Pacific outside New Zealand or Australia. The capital of Fiji since 1883, it is set on 15 sq km of peninsula adjacent to one of the finest naturally protected harbors in the South Seas. The landscape is quite beautiful, with scenic views to the mountains across the bay, and lot’s of interesting colonial buildings. The climate is notorius for being hot, wet, and humid, although the tropical rain often comes as a refreshing change at the end of the afternoon.

Wonderful diving offering walls lush with soft corals, gorgonia, feather stars and hard corals as well as profuse fish life including large fish and large sharks. The area produces many sites including the nearby reefs in Bligh Water, such as Cherybdis and the area around Vatu-I-Ra island which marks the north-western extremity of the channel dividing Viti Levu and Vanua Levu. Current sites feature black coral, profuse soft corals, hard corals, walls, caves, prolific fish life including large fish, as well as turtles, dolphins and on occasion whales on their way through the channel

Deep rich ocean channel between Fiji's two main islands and fringed by two separate barrier reefs Mostly accessible only by live-aboards or from the north-eastern point of Viti Levu. Wild and dynamic region fed by trade wind currents and nutrient flow in an out of the surrounding barrier reefs Several undeveloped islands with traditional village communities Pinnacles, current-flushed reef passages, bommies in lagoons Vast unexplored reef system Pelagic encounters are common gray reef sharks, hammerheads and mantas

Savusavu, largest town on southern coast of Vanua Levu, sits on a splendid harbour. Quality resorts and accommodations for all budgets offer diving activities. Location for Cousteau's Ocean Search Project. Spectacular scenic flight from Nausori or Nadi. Great forest treks, waterfalls, yearround kayak expeditions, cultural interaction and plantations. Namena is a small island preserve surrounded by an enormous barrier reef. Much is unexplored around Namena and existing sites are famously lush with exciting pelagic action Advanced drift diving through long current-flushed channels More than 20 dive sites near Savusavu with moorings

Taveuni, the extremely fertile Garden Isle, is separated from Vanua Levu by the Somo Somo Straits. Its reef also encloses Qamea, Laucala and Matagi Islands. Mt Ulugalau (more than 1300 metres) is covered in rainforest and plunges sharply into the ocean Home to most of Fiji's bird species and the unique Tagimaucia flower Black beaches and cascading waterfalls. There's a number of diving resorts and a variety of accommodation.

The Lau Group officially belongs to Fiji, but has experienced a strong Tongan (Poly-nesian) influence in the past. Consisting of more than 60 tiny islands scattered across the Koro Sea, south-east of Vanua Levu and Viti Levu, some of Lau's island jewels are stunning, with their white powdery beaches and gently swaying coconut palms. In the Lau group, you'll find dive sites featuring spectacular hard coral gardens, along with some huge orange seafans and a gigantic patch of cabbage coral. The area is also known for its stunning visibility and pelagic encounters such as a variety of sharks and on occasion, even sailfish.
